Five homes, one shared courtyard
The name Acquaviva speaks to the most authentic Salento: wells, pale stone, and water that resurfaces after the rain. The five apartments open onto a shared courtyard where guests dine outdoors, sip coffee in the shade of a centuries-old olive tree, and children play between one archway and the next.
In Bagnolo del Salento, time slows down: we're in a small countryside village, far from the summer traffic, yet just minutes by car from the finest beaches of the Salento coast — from Otranto to Castro, from Porto Miggiano to Santa Cesarea Terme.

Five homes, five moods
Each of the five apartments takes its name from an element of the Salento landscape.
Ulivo (Olive Tree)
Ground-floor two-room apartment, with a direct view of the courtyard and its centuries-old olive tree.
Mare (Sea)
A bright apartment with a reading nook and water-toned fabrics.
Pietra (Stone)
Original 18th-century star vaults, wrought iron and pale wood furnishings.
Girasole (Sunflower)
The largest in the courtyard: three bedrooms, for larger families or two couples travelling together.
Ginestra (Broom Flower)
Independent entrance and a small private outdoor area, with a view of the fields in bloom each May.
The legend
The knight who once rode through here
In 1481, legend says, a horse galloped down the road in front of this courtyard, carrying the beheaded body of Count Giulio Antonio Acquaviva. From that story, half history and half legend, the name Corte Acquaviva was born.
